Choosing Conveyor Rollers For A Working Belt Line

May 18, 2026

When choosing conveyor rollers, the first thing is not the lowest price. The useful questions are belt width, running hours, material weight, dust level and whether the conveyor works indoors or outdoors. A 500 mm light belt and a 1200 mm quarry belt should not use the same roller arrangement, even if the parts look similar in photos.

For most projects, buyers can start with roller diameter, bearing model, shell thickness and shaft size. Painted steel rollers are common for many plants, while galvanized or rubber covered parts may be better in wet places. Sharing a drawing or a few site photos also helps the factory suggest a size that fits without changing the frame.
