How To Select Rollers For Quarry Conveyor Lines

Jul 03, 2026

A quarry conveyor line works under constant dust, uneven stone size, and repeated impact at loading points. Roller selection should start from the material route instead of only checking the outside diameter. If the conveyor receives crushed stone from a crusher, the carrying side needs rollers with stable bearing seats, sealed ends, and a surface that can handle belt shock. For a stockyard transfer line, smoother rotation and low resistance are more important because the belt may run for many hours each day.

The reference materials show several useful details for this selection. Steel tube rollers, precision bearings, labyrinth seals, rubber coating, galvanizing, and spraying are common choices. These points should be matched to the site. Wet aggregate lines often need anti-rust treatment. High dust positions should use sealed bearing designs. Sharp stone transfer points can use rubber-coated or impact-related roller positions.

When a buyer checks quarry conveyor rollers, the useful data includes belt width, roller length, shaft size, mounting distance, roller type, surface finish, and working material. A simple roller that looks similar may not fit the same conveyor frame. For maintenance teams, correct matching reduces belt noise, bearing failure, and emergency replacement work.
